Our growing little family....

That's right!  We're pregnant again!!!  I'm writing this on the couch as I just still can't believe it myself...we're expecting our 2nd baby!  Today our little angel, Emil, turned 9 months old!  He's absolutely amazing and we completely adore him.  So, bringing you up to speed....  we wanted to have 2 kids pretty close in age so we knew we weren't going to wait that long before trying for baby #2.  Well, we "officially" started trying (tracking ovulation etc) in September and amazingly enough it only took 1 time!  Wow!  It took 10 months to get pregnant with Emil after having a miscarriage so we're feeling incredibly blessed!  So, I was 2 days late on October 24 and decided to test that afternoon and POSITIVE!  I really couldn't believe it!  I was pretty much mind blown...I couldn't even go tell E.J. in a cool way!  I just went in with the test and told him to close his eyes for a surprise....handed it to him and there it was!  He was super excited (tears in his beautiful blue eyes) and it made me feel so good:)  We don't always see eye to eye and sometimes I know I drive him crazy (and him me...lol) but looking at him during moments like that just reassure me we are doing it right...and we have something special.

Anyway, so I called to set up my Dr's appt but, just like when I got pregnant with Emil, they asked that I go in early for bloodwork (since having the previous mc). I went the next day and by Monday (today) I received the call that my progesterone levels were great!  They like to see around 15 or above and I'm at 31.6! Woo!!! So, here we are....here we go again!  Each day I'm more and more excited!

So, I'm going to talk a little bit about my babylove, Emil.  He's 9 months now...crawling like a little wild man!  Pulling himself up, talking (Baaabb! Mom-mom! etc) and he can CLAP & make sounds with his little lips by putting his fingers on them...it's hilarious!  He's so awesome...he makes me laugh and smile everyday!  He certainly keeps us busy but I can't imagine life without him.  He's a blast and such a special little boy.  He's growing up so fast...he loves to be outdoors and play...basically he likes being free! lol  We're having such a great time with him though...:):)

Okay, so I'm going to start tracking earlier than I did when I was pregnant with Emil because I wished that I had done that then!  Anyway, here goes!!! (btw...I copied and pasted the stats from my last week of pregnancy with Emil...it's such a strange thing tracking a new pregnancy:))

•How far along?: 5 weeks, 2 days

•Baby is the size of a: Sweet pea (teeny tiny!)
•Total weight gain/loss: Okay, so no clue on the exact right now but this is something I've been thinking a lot about!  So, I gained 26lbs with Emil and ended up getting down to like 125 after having him (maybe even less, I started at 133).  Anyway, I'm hoping and PRAYING that I don't gain any more than that this go around and I PRAY even more that I lose it FAST like I did with Emil....

•The Bump: None...still flat

•Symptoms: My back hurts, I've had a couple of headaches and that's pretty much it!  It's still really early.

•Food Cravings: None.  Actually craving nothing...My appetite's been kinda null....not sure exactly why but I'm blaming it on the baby....lol

•Anything Making Me Queasy: The puppy pad.

•Sleep: What's that?!  lol  j/k!  Ya know....we have a 9 month old soooooo........
•What I miss: Can I say wine?  It's still early and I only had 9 months off to have wine when I wanted and I don't feel like I took full advantage of that!  lol, j/k :)  Seriously though...advil again!  Ugh, headaches suck.

•Weddings Rings: On

•Any Names Picked Out Yet: This one is going to be a hard one...not really sure....

•Gender Prediction: Well, E.J.'s already said it's definitely a boy so there ya have it.... lol.  But I guess we'll have to technically get that info in a few months.

•Labor Signs: Of course not...soooo early:)

•Movement: This is something I'm really looking forward to!  I loved feeling Emil wiggle around...it was awesome.

•Maternity Clothes: No, thank goodness.  I've just bought a new wardrobe and I'd like to wear it for a little while! :)  But I've heard people show faster on their 2nd so we'll see....
•Best Moment of the Week: It's so early in the week but I'd say just getting the news that my bloodwork came back great and getting to spend time with my little family:)

•What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Well, now we have to move so I think I'm looking forward to getting that taken care of (it's kinda like a weight on our shoulders considering we don't have enough room here for 2 babies! lol)

25 weeks...Oh Baby:)

Well, I must admit I've gotten really bad at doing my blog!  I've forgotten the last two weeks...so I'm posting a day late but hey...I'm posting!  So, happy 25 week mark!  This past week was a really good week!  We worked around the house, got our new flooring in (YAY!), carved pumpkins and I had a good work week, which just topped everything off!  I worked in the baby's room and have a bunch of stuff boxed up now and ready for storage, things are coming along!  Happy Halloween!!!:)  It's our first year not going crazy with decorations but we're still going to dress up, scare kids & pass out candy:)  Should be a good time! •How far along?: 25 weeks! •Baby is the size of a: Large Eggplant, 2lbs •Total weight gain/loss: 14lbs. at 22+2 •The Bump: Everybody loves it...they're drawn to it:) •Symptoms: Thankfully this week my only symptom has been my bump and the movement inside it:)  My emotions have simmered down...Praise ...

Something worth Celebrating!

Well, as it happens to most families with young children that start school, our family got the sick bug. We've all had it but Ritter is the OG, the one who contacted the cold and shared it with the rest of us. I started feeling bad Friday and am finally feeling better, almost like my normal self, TODAY! So, I celebrate! Seriously, why not? I am a working mom! I'm running an entire household and I've been sick! That is NO FUN! Like, none. And, sidenote, I think mom's shouldn't be allowed to get sick. Just sayin'. I celebrate because I have felt terrible the last few days (and, as most moms do, felt terrible that I felt terrible- which is annoying- why do we do that?!) and NOW- FINALLY- I'm feeling better! Good enough to refocus on my schedule, goals and recognize all that I can accomplish! Yes! I celebrate.  But why do I share this with you? Well, because I feel like, as women, we mostly are getting on to ourselves, putting ourselves down, feeling guilt...

Simply happy.....

Over the past year we have worked really hard to make things happen.... I am feeling so accomplished at this time because things are really starting to pan out. This is a great feeling... Not only that but I have really grown to realize over the past few years how incredibly blessed I am. I have always been a very thankful person but as I grow older I become even more thankful... I have an absolutely amazing husband. He loves me so much....I know that. I'm really lucky to have him in my life... I know he will always stand beside me and love me with all his heart. I have a wonderful family... there are so many people in my family and not many people can say that. They are all really great people and I love the close bond that we share... I am so blessed...yet again. Finally, I have great friends. They are loving, caring people. Although I have been extremely busy this summer and haven't been able to spend as much time with them we still are close and I love them al...
