Heidi Kukoly - Real Life, Real Talk

First I'd like to start by saying "Sorry!!"  Sorry, it's been such a long time since I've posted.  To say I've been busy is an understatement.  So, I posted at 35 weeks, which was about 11 weeks ago and I seriously can't even remember that far back.  What I can tell you is that the last few weeks of my pregnancy flew by!  It was rough as hell but it flew by.  I was hot and huge.  I can't even begin to express the extreme differences of being 9 months pregnant and due in the winter vs the summer.  There is no comparison...I repeat....THERE IS NO COMPARISON.  I thanked God that I was due when I was...I couldn't have gone through the entire summer...oh, I'd have died if I weren't due until August or, even worse, September.  Hot Hot Hot!  Whew!  All I did was complain.  Everything was a challenge...from working, to Bodyflow, to taking care of Emil and so on.  Everything was so hard to do.  All I wanted t...

Wow....how has it been 8 weeks since I blogged?!  Ugh...I'm terrible.  I've been thinking about updating things for...ummm...well, a few weeks now and just haven't been able to get around to it.  I'm either really busy or freakin' pooped!  Dang it.  Anyway, now here we are.  35 weeks and 3 days!  We only have 3 weeks and 6 days to go!  How has this pregnancy gone so quickly?  I feel like I've been pregnant for 100 years but then again I can't believe it's almost over.  And....no plans for baby #3 so this is it..... Well, Happy 3rd Trimester!  I can't believe we only have about 3 months to go...a little less actually but who's counting?! :)  Anyway, things have been busy as can be!  We ended up having a major problem with our house in NJ and I went up for a couple days last week to take care of some of the mess.  E.J.'s going up soon and so is his brother.  Good news is...we've decided to sell it and hopefully will by the summer or end of the summer.  Once we sell that house we can move and I've wanted to move for quite a while now.  We really need more space in our current house.  We've lived here for 12 years!  It's closing in on us and now that we'll have 2 kids we really need the extra room:) Other than that....little Emil is growing up so much!  He's so much fun....walking/running around like a little wild man.  It's such a fun time having him around and watching him grow:)  E.J.'s soccer season is starting to slow down a little bit...

That's right!  We're pregnant again!!!  I'm writing this on the couch as I just still can't believe it myself...we're expecting our 2nd baby!  Today our little angel, Emil, turned 9 months old!  He's absolutely amazing and we completely adore him.  So, bringing you up to speed....  we wanted to have 2 kids pretty close in age so we knew we weren't going to wait that long before trying for baby #2.  Well, we "officially" started trying (tracking ovulation etc) in September and amazingly enough it only took 1 time!  Wow!  It took 10 months to get pregnant with Emil after having a miscarriage so we're feeling incredibly blessed!  So, I was 2 days late on October 24 and decided to test that afternoon and POSITIVE!  I really couldn't believe it!  I was pretty much mind blown...I couldn't even go tell E.J. in a cool way!  I just went in with the test and told him to close his eyes for a surprise....handed it to him and there it ...

Hello!  I can't believe I'm already 17 weeks pregnant!  This just blows my mind....I feel like I was just finding out I was pregnant with Emil and now we're almost half way done with baby #2:)  I'm thankfully feeling really good these days!  So glad to be out of that first horrible trimester as I've probably said.  The second trimester is always fun...you're not big yet and you feel better than before you got pregnant (for the most part)!  It's neat b/c now when I lay down on my back I can feel my uterus and see/feel that the baby is growing. Other than baby stuff things are pretty good.  Little E is growing up so much!  He'll be one in about 10 days and I am excited about his birthday!  I can't believe he's going to be 1 already.  He's so much fun.  He is into so much, walking (mostly with assistance), talking, playing etc.  He cracks me up...laughing and smiling...he's absolutely precious!  He's the cutest little boy e...

•How far along?: 15 weeks, 1 day •Baby is the size of a: Avocado, 4-5 inches, 3-5oz. •Total weight gain/loss: 3lbs as of 14 weeks, 5 days. •The Bump: It's little but I can tell and so can E.J.....I think some others can too.  It's funny that it's popping out earlier this time:) •Symptoms: Thank GOODNESS I'm starting to feel better!  That was one hell of a first trimester!  I mean, I know it could have been worse so I hate complaining but I definitely felt crappy for pretty much the entire time.  Now that I'm in the 2nd trimester I actually feel normal again:) •Food Cravings: None that I can think of other than milk...and I like to drink a lot of that! •Anything Making Me Queasy: The puppy pad (BLAHHHHH!), strong food smells (at restaurants etc), too much cologne/after shave and really anything STRONG smelling.  (Keeping this b/c it's the same as when I posted at 11 weeks) •Sleep: Love •What I miss: Having a flat stomach...lol. But I'll get it...

•How far along?: 11 weeks 6 days •Baby is the size of a: Large Plum 2.5in. •Total weight gain/loss: Well, I started at 128 and I'm still there so none so far.... (as of my check up at 10 weeks 2 days) •The Bump: Actually it's already starting to poke out a little....and my work pants are starting to feel snug! Ouch! (I always heard that the 2nd one pops out quicker so I kinda expected it though) •Symptoms: STOP READING NOW if you don't want to hear about things that may be TMI....  You've been warned friends...you've been warned! lol:)  Okay, so where can I begin?  I have 9 months of different symptoms when I was pregnant with Emil but, no joke, I have pretty much all of those symptoms NOW but they're about 10x worse! lol  Wow.  Okay, so here's the list: Cramping (round ligament stretching and uterus growing), back pain, head ache, nausea, constipation, exhaustion, this weird thing were I need to pee really bad but can't (baby/uterus is pressing ...

How am I already 21 weeks with our second child?  Boy, time is really flying.  I've been really busy lately with my hubby, little E, work and Bodyflow.  I feel like it's been nonstop...But I wouldn't change it.  I'd actually really like to have a special date night with E.J. soon...it's been a long time since we've gone out and I think it'd be nice to just spend some time together outside the house:)  Little E is growing and growing.  He's walking like crazy! Today he said "Ki-ki" for Kitty Kitty and actually pointed at the Kitty in the book when I asked where the Kitty was!  He's so smart:)  He also says "choo-choo" when the he hears the train outside.  Smart little angel baby.... Well, I certainly have been busy lately.  I feel bad I don't put forth the time to do my blog with this pregnancy like I did with Emil.  I really love doing the blog but I have lots going on:)  Family life has been good and so has work.  The weather is starting to get nice so I've been spending a lot of time outside with Emil.  He loves to run around and play outside.  I remember last summer when he was so little and I was telling him how this summer he'd be running around and now that he is it's a little surreal... He is so much fun.  We are just so in love with him.
