Oh Baby....26 weeks!

Well, 26 weeks already!  I think everybody calculates the trimesters differently but I believe this is pretty much my last week, and actually DAY, of my 2nd trimester!  I'm excited about that!  Just a little closer to meeting our sweet son.  Holy smokes...our SON.  It's weird to say that:)  Anyway, this week's been much like a roller coaster.  Wednesday we had a great doctor's appointment and E.J. was with me because I had to do my glucose test.  Thursday I received a call that I failed.  Yes, failed.  I was blown away!  So, now I get to do the 3 hour test tomorrow morning while I do my work conference calls...I have heard a lot of people fail the first one and then pass the 3 hour so I'm optimistic.  I've done a little research on gestational diabetes and I definitely don't want it!  We celebrated Halloween and that was fun! We always dress up and pass out candy.  This year we just didn't do all the decorations but it was still fun.  I ate my share of candy that night...and haven't eaten a piece since I found out I failed my glucose test and we have A LOT leftover!  I had a chance to look at cribs Friday night with my other mother (Pat) and now we just have to nail that down...just add that to the list of to do's! Saturday we got the dreaded call that E.J.'s aunt passed away.  We are responsible for handling her affairs so we are going to be driving up to New Jersey sometime this week, it's still kinda up in the air.  I just pray that everything goes okay.

So, as you can see...roller coaster! Up and down...  We are tough though and will get through everything.  Just say a little prayer for us if you read this:)  We appreciate it!

Well, I'll leave you with a couple of photos!!  Halloween at the Kukoly's...I always dress up as a witch (classic, I know) and E.J. a spooky man BUT I had to post the pic of E.J. with his halloween candy stash...he cracks me up!

•How far along?: 26 weeks, 6 days

•Baby is the size of a: Cucumber (15in., 2.2lbs)

•Total weight gain/loss: 17lbs (as of 26 weeks, 2 days)

•The Bump: We love it...I almost always have my hand on it:)

•Symptoms: Again, I'm emtional.  I hear this is normal but to me it's annoying.  E.J. told me to embrace it and just know that it's my hormones then maybe I'll take it a little easier.  This is good advice...I just need to accept it and be okay with it! lol :)

•Food Cravings: Still none. At this point I don't think I'm going to get them.

•Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Just when I'm hungry, which is pretty normal.

•Sleep: This past week was pretty good....

•What I miss: I don't miss anything.  I'm happy:)

•Weddings Rings On or Off: On!

•Any Names Picked Out Yet: We have a Jr!

•Gender Prediction: Baby Kukoly is a BOY!

•Movement: It's the absolute most amazing thing I've experienced in my entire life.  I am feeling him pretty much everyday.  For a while he was inconsistent but now it's daily and often...  I lay down on the couch and usually feel him at night.  This morning he was wiggling around a bunch and I felt it the second I woke up.  Actually, maybe that's why I woke up:)

•Maternity Clothes: I need to invest in some more...I just only like them if they're cute.

•Best Moment of the Week: Every week it will now be feeling baby Emil move... Other than that, it was hearing our sweet boys heart beat when we went to for our checkup.

•What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Getting things done...The holidays....Meeting baby Emil.

25 weeks...Oh Baby:)

Well, I must admit I've gotten really bad at doing my blog!  I've forgotten the last two weeks...so I'm posting a day late but hey...I'm posting!  So, happy 25 week mark!  This past week was a really good week!  We worked around the house, got our new flooring in (YAY!), carved pumpkins and I had a good work week, which just topped everything off!  I worked in the baby's room and have a bunch of stuff boxed up now and ready for storage, things are coming along!  Happy Halloween!!!:)  It's our first year not going crazy with decorations but we're still going to dress up, scare kids & pass out candy:)  Should be a good time! •How far along?: 25 weeks! •Baby is the size of a: Large Eggplant, 2lbs •Total weight gain/loss: 14lbs. at 22+2 •The Bump: Everybody loves it...they're drawn to it:) •Symptoms: Thankfully this week my only symptom has been my bump and the movement inside it:)  My emotions have simmered down...Praise ...

Something worth Celebrating!

Well, as it happens to most families with young children that start school, our family got the sick bug. We've all had it but Ritter is the OG, the one who contacted the cold and shared it with the rest of us. I started feeling bad Friday and am finally feeling better, almost like my normal self, TODAY! So, I celebrate! Seriously, why not? I am a working mom! I'm running an entire household and I've been sick! That is NO FUN! Like, none. And, sidenote, I think mom's shouldn't be allowed to get sick. Just sayin'. I celebrate because I have felt terrible the last few days (and, as most moms do, felt terrible that I felt terrible- which is annoying- why do we do that?!) and NOW- FINALLY- I'm feeling better! Good enough to refocus on my schedule, goals and recognize all that I can accomplish! Yes! I celebrate.  But why do I share this with you? Well, because I feel like, as women, we mostly are getting on to ourselves, putting ourselves down, feeling guilt...

Simply happy.....

Over the past year we have worked really hard to make things happen.... I am feeling so accomplished at this time because things are really starting to pan out. This is a great feeling... Not only that but I have really grown to realize over the past few years how incredibly blessed I am. I have always been a very thankful person but as I grow older I become even more thankful... I have an absolutely amazing husband. He loves me so much....I know that. I'm really lucky to have him in my life... I know he will always stand beside me and love me with all his heart. I have a wonderful family... there are so many people in my family and not many people can say that. They are all really great people and I love the close bond that we share... I am so blessed...yet again. Finally, I have great friends. They are loving, caring people. Although I have been extremely busy this summer and haven't been able to spend as much time with them we still are close and I love them al...
