Oh Baby....28 weeks!

Oh what a week!  We got back from NJ on Monday night, after a 17 hour drive home.  Then I was busy catching up with work and home life.  This weekend we did go to the gun show and looked at some guns, which was fun.  After that I went to get us lunch and my brakes went out on my car though... E.J. had to come save the day and help me.  He drove the car home in manual so he could downshift and the brakes did work if you press them really hard but it's not in working condition now so we have to figure out how much that's going to cost and get it taken care of.  Just add that to our list of things to do.  Today I went to my mom's for Thanksgiving since they'll be out of town Thursday.  It was good to see everybody.  Little baby Emil was active so my mom, sister, nany and Aunt Jet were able to feel him moving around which was a lot of fun.  My sweet hubby stayed home to work on things around the house that he's trying ever so dilligently to get done, God love him.

Tonight I had a little work to finish and now I sit here updating my blog while E.J. continues to work on things...right now it's the TV (as it has had lines down the front of the screen from the DMD (?) board going out).  Anyway, busy week, very tired....  I'll leave you with a pic of Poonie again because she's brought us so much joy as always.... I just love her sweet face:)

•How far along?: 28 weeks, 6 days

•Baby is the size of a: 17 inches, 2.9lbs

•Total weight gain/loss: 18lbs as of 28 weeks, 4 days.  When I was at the Dr's office he told me I was cute pregnant.  I laughed and told him he said that to all the girls and he said "No, just the ones that are cute and don't gain a lot of weight, like you."  Yeah buddy! ha!

•The Bump: If you haven't seen me in a while you'll be surprised.  My mom and Nany were at the Dr with me and they both couldn't believe my bump.  My mom said that it was very clear I was pregnant...no questioning the bump anymore and wondering "Is she pregnant or just fat?" lol :)

•Symptoms: I'm crazy, emotional, forgetful, annoying, have slightly swollen fingers and I can go on but I'll stop there.  I've gotta get a wrap on it.  I'm driving E.J. crazy...he doesn't say that but I know I am.

•Food Cravings: Still none. I've given up on this.  Does every pregnant woman have them?  Seriously, NONE.  Not a single one.

•Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.

•Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty good all this week...Come to think of it I don't even think I've gotten up to pee...which also makes me think my need to pee has lessened...Maybe I need to get back to drinking more water. :)

•What I miss: Being normal/sain.

•Weddings Rings On or Off: On and I have a new ring (2 actually) :)  E.J. got them for our anniversary...2 new beautiful rings!

•Any Names Picked Out Yet: We have a Jr!

•Gender Prediction: Baby Kukoly is a BOY!

•Labor Signs: None, thank goodness.  We're not quite ready for baby Emil:)

•Movement: This always puts a smile on my face.  This week he was a little less active.  Thursday he was moving like crazy but Friday & Saturday not so much.  Today, thankfully, he was wiggly and the family got to feel him:)  It always makes me feel better when he's moving around:)  I'm sure I'll be wanting him to sleep once he's here but for now I'm always like "Wake up baby and kick momma!" haha

•Maternity Clothes: I bought some more jeans online and a top...just waiting on them to come in.

•Best Moment of the Week: Every week it will now be feeling baby Emil move... Other than that, it was probably getting to see the family and them getting to feel baby Emil kick:)

•What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Being normal again.  That's it.  Everything else will happen.

25 weeks...Oh Baby:)

Well, I must admit I've gotten really bad at doing my blog!  I've forgotten the last two weeks...so I'm posting a day late but hey...I'm posting!  So, happy 25 week mark!  This past week was a really good week!  We worked around the house, got our new flooring in (YAY!), carved pumpkins and I had a good work week, which just topped everything off!  I worked in the baby's room and have a bunch of stuff boxed up now and ready for storage, things are coming along!  Happy Halloween!!!:)  It's our first year not going crazy with decorations but we're still going to dress up, scare kids & pass out candy:)  Should be a good time! •How far along?: 25 weeks! •Baby is the size of a: Large Eggplant, 2lbs •Total weight gain/loss: 14lbs. at 22+2 •The Bump: Everybody loves it...they're drawn to it:) •Symptoms: Thankfully this week my only symptom has been my bump and the movement inside it:)  My emotions have simmered down...Praise ...

Something worth Celebrating!

Well, as it happens to most families with young children that start school, our family got the sick bug. We've all had it but Ritter is the OG, the one who contacted the cold and shared it with the rest of us. I started feeling bad Friday and am finally feeling better, almost like my normal self, TODAY! So, I celebrate! Seriously, why not? I am a working mom! I'm running an entire household and I've been sick! That is NO FUN! Like, none. And, sidenote, I think mom's shouldn't be allowed to get sick. Just sayin'. I celebrate because I have felt terrible the last few days (and, as most moms do, felt terrible that I felt terrible- which is annoying- why do we do that?!) and NOW- FINALLY- I'm feeling better! Good enough to refocus on my schedule, goals and recognize all that I can accomplish! Yes! I celebrate.  But why do I share this with you? Well, because I feel like, as women, we mostly are getting on to ourselves, putting ourselves down, feeling guilt...

Simply happy.....

Over the past year we have worked really hard to make things happen.... I am feeling so accomplished at this time because things are really starting to pan out. This is a great feeling... Not only that but I have really grown to realize over the past few years how incredibly blessed I am. I have always been a very thankful person but as I grow older I become even more thankful... I have an absolutely amazing husband. He loves me so much....I know that. I'm really lucky to have him in my life... I know he will always stand beside me and love me with all his heart. I have a wonderful family... there are so many people in my family and not many people can say that. They are all really great people and I love the close bond that we share... I am so blessed...yet again. Finally, I have great friends. They are loving, caring people. Although I have been extremely busy this summer and haven't been able to spend as much time with them we still are close and I love them al...
