Oh Baby....27 weeks!

And again...I'm behind!  It's Tuesday...  I should have updated this last Sunday, when I was still 27 weeks but that didn't happen.  Last week, on Wednesday, we went to NJ to handle E.J.'s aunt's passing.  We were there until Monday, which is when we drove home.  It was a very busy week and things are NOT going to slow down.  This is crunch time.  I do; however, have faith that we will get everything done.

Anyway, this sweet little baby boy is just growing and growing!!!  I am really starting to feel pregnant, physically.  My bump is growing, shirts are getting shorter and it's getting a little harder to breathe.  At first he was always so low and although I'm carrying him low somehow he's enjoying my upper bump...right under my rib cage.  He kicks, pokes, wiggles, flips, rolls and taps right up there...often!  It's funny.  I was telling E.J. I think he's found the unchartered territory and just exploring it since he's been low for so long! lol.  Last Monday I did do my 3 hour glucose test.  I had to drink the orange drink (OMG, yuck!) and have my blood drawn 4 times.  It really wasn't that bad, well, I say that now that it's over... :)  I haven't heard back from the Dr. which I'm assuming is a good thing considering they called me the day after my bloodwork the first one to let me know I failed.  So....maybe I passed?!  I'll let you know after my dr's appt this Friday afternoon.  So, what else?  When I lay down for bed and put my bump on E.J. he usually can feel baby Emil kick or poke...that's fun.  Everywhere I go people talk to me about when I'm due or what I'm having.  It makes me laugh b/c I just thought it was an unwritten rule that you don't ask a woman if she's pregnant but people sure do!  And All the Time!  But, I like it:)

Okay, so stats....  Here goes!  Oh, and of course a bump pic.  We're eventually going to do some maternity photos...It's on our growing list of TO DO's!!!

•How far along?: 27 weeks

•Baby is the size of a: Cucumber (16 inches, 2 1/2 lbs)

•Total weight gain/loss: 17lbs (as of 26 weeks, 2 days)

•The Bump:  I can't believe how much it's growing!

•Symptoms: Well, maybe swelling.  My hands are feeling swollen a little...  Um, other than that, just my bump.  Oh and I almost forgot...BRAXTON HICKS contractions!  Yep, they happen!  They're crazy!

•Food Cravings: Still none. At this point I don't think I'm going to get them.

•Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Can I put annoying people on this one?  Ugh...  I'll be nice here but that'd be my answer if I was going to be not so nice... lol.   Anyway, really only sick feeling if  I'm hungry.

•Sleep: While we were out of town we were so busy so most nights I slept like a baby...I was exhausted!

•What I miss: I don't miss anything. I'm happy:)

•Weddings Rings On or Off: On!  But I haven't tried to take my wedding ring off and like I said I feel like I'm swollen sooooo, we'll see.

•Any Names Picked Out Yet: We have a Jr!

•Gender Prediction: Baby Kukoly is a BOY!

•Movement: He's so fun!  I love feeling him move around:)  He's usually moving around but sometimes I have to relax and focus to feel him!

•Maternity Clothes: I need to invest in some more...I just only like them if they're cute.

•Best Moment of the Week: Every week it will now be feeling baby Emil move... Other than that, since it was such a hectic, stressful week I'd say the best moment wasn't just a moment... It was spending time with my hubby.

•What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Getting the baby's room cleaned out.  That HAS to happen THIS weekend!!!!  I have to get on the ball here!!! :)

25 weeks...Oh Baby:)

Well, I must admit I've gotten really bad at doing my blog!  I've forgotten the last two weeks...so I'm posting a day late but hey...I'm posting!  So, happy 25 week mark!  This past week was a really good week!  We worked around the house, got our new flooring in (YAY!), carved pumpkins and I had a good work week, which just topped everything off!  I worked in the baby's room and have a bunch of stuff boxed up now and ready for storage, things are coming along!  Happy Halloween!!!:)  It's our first year not going crazy with decorations but we're still going to dress up, scare kids & pass out candy:)  Should be a good time! •How far along?: 25 weeks! •Baby is the size of a: Large Eggplant, 2lbs •Total weight gain/loss: 14lbs. at 22+2 •The Bump: Everybody loves it...they're drawn to it:) •Symptoms: Thankfully this week my only symptom has been my bump and the movement inside it:)  My emotions have simmered down...Praise ...

Something worth Celebrating!

Well, as it happens to most families with young children that start school, our family got the sick bug. We've all had it but Ritter is the OG, the one who contacted the cold and shared it with the rest of us. I started feeling bad Friday and am finally feeling better, almost like my normal self, TODAY! So, I celebrate! Seriously, why not? I am a working mom! I'm running an entire household and I've been sick! That is NO FUN! Like, none. And, sidenote, I think mom's shouldn't be allowed to get sick. Just sayin'. I celebrate because I have felt terrible the last few days (and, as most moms do, felt terrible that I felt terrible- which is annoying- why do we do that?!) and NOW- FINALLY- I'm feeling better! Good enough to refocus on my schedule, goals and recognize all that I can accomplish! Yes! I celebrate.  But why do I share this with you? Well, because I feel like, as women, we mostly are getting on to ourselves, putting ourselves down, feeling guilt...

Simply happy.....

Over the past year we have worked really hard to make things happen.... I am feeling so accomplished at this time because things are really starting to pan out. This is a great feeling... Not only that but I have really grown to realize over the past few years how incredibly blessed I am. I have always been a very thankful person but as I grow older I become even more thankful... I have an absolutely amazing husband. He loves me so much....I know that. I'm really lucky to have him in my life... I know he will always stand beside me and love me with all his heart. I have a wonderful family... there are so many people in my family and not many people can say that. They are all really great people and I love the close bond that we share... I am so blessed...yet again. Finally, I have great friends. They are loving, caring people. Although I have been extremely busy this summer and haven't been able to spend as much time with them we still are close and I love them al...
